NEW YORK, NY, August 14, 2015… Home Textiles Market Week® Best New Product Awards were awarded to five exhibitors at NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, with Daisy Silk Prints by Ann Gish recognized as “Best of Market.” Additional winners were recognized for excellence in four categories – bed, bath, dining and home accessories – and all five honorees qualify to compete for NY NOW’s “Best of HOME” Award, to be determined by online balloting at bit.ly/NYNOW_HOME. The summer 2015 edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, runs through Wednesday, August 19, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Winners and finalists of the summer 2015 Home Textiles Market Week® Best New Product Awards are:

BEST OF MARKET:

Ann Gish (New York, NY) for its Daisy Silk Prints, a collection of pillows with vivid pops of color in all shades of the rainbow, made from 100% silk.

BED:

Winner: Kevin O’Brien Studio (Philadelphia, PA) for its Casablanca Silk Velvet Duvet in Gun Metal, a simplified coordinate of the designer’s larger Moroccan pillow and duvet, which is influenced by Moroccan tile and painted in hand-mixed colors.

Finalist: Lands Downunder® (Port Jefferson, NY) for its Strato Italian Blanket.

Finalist: Talini (Charlottesville, VA) for its Talini Sateen and Herringbone Linen Shams & Duvets.

BATH:

Winner: Pom Pom at Home (Burbank, CA) for its Venice Towel, a 100% Belgian linen waffle towel which offers great texture, look and soft feel.

Finalist: Antiochia USA LLC (Crofton, MD) for its Petit Honeycomb Robes and Towels.

Finalist: Pendleton Woolen Mills (Portland, OR) for its Oversized Jacquard Towels.

DINING:

Winner: LinenMe (Chicago, IL) for its Rainbow White Table Linen, an elegant tablecloth made of 100% linen fabric in white with 30 different colors of stripes. Pre-washed for additional softness.

Finalist: pehr designs (Toronto, Canada) for its Cross Stitch Dobby Napkin.

Finalist: Traditions Linen (Claverack, NY) for its Dip Dyed Linen Collection.

HOME ACCESSORIES:

Winner: Aviva Stanoff (Vista, CA) for its Stardust Pillow in Charcoal, a 20″x20″ “Stardust” pillow in charcoal with gold metallic detail, made of silk/cotton fabric and hand painted with dye and applied metallic.

Finalist: Ayadeena (Amman, Jordan) for its Deema 1 Pillow.

Finalist: Guildery (Los Altos, CA) for its Enchanted Pillow.

The winners next compete for the NY NOW “Best of HOME” Award, which will be determined through online voting at bit.ly/NYNOW_HOME. “Peoples’ Choice” balloting runs August 15-18, and the winner will be announced on August 19, before the conclusion of the summer 2015 edition of NY NOW.

The judges for the Home Textiles Market Week® Best New Product Awards were: David Gill of HFN; Jennifer Marks of Home & Textiles Today; Jenny Heinzen York of Home Accents Today; Laura van Zeyl of Home Fashion Forecast; Sophie Donelson of House Beautiful; and Wanda Jankowski of LDB Interior Textiles. Criteria included: innovative design, product solution, aesthetic appeal, creativity and new material or technology.

All exhibitors participating in NY NOW’s Home Furnishings + Textiles section were eligible to compete for recognition. Presented as part of NY NOW’s HOME Collection, Home Furnishings + Textiles features 300+ suppliers of mid-to-high-end bed and bath fashions, such as table linens, kitchen textiles, towels, decorative accessories, area rugs, window treatments and decorative fabrics.

The summer 2015 edition of NY NOW, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, will run Saturday, August 15, through Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
