WHITE PLAINS, NY. – December 9, 2016 – This December, all exhibitors participating in the winter 2017 edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, will have the opportunity to apply for NY NOW’s prestigious “Best New Product” Awards. This program recognizes and celebrates the extraordinary product offerings from exhibitors across the market!
“Each market, we continue to be awed and amazed by the ingenuity of the NY NOW exhibitors, and are so proud to be a leading platform for the industry to showcase tens of thousands of new and on-trend products,” said Randi Mohr, NY NOW Show Director and Vice President, Emerald Expositions. “The Best New Product Awards represents the best of the best and we can’t wait to see what is in store this February!”
Criteria and Considerations
All exhibitors of NY NOW’s winter 2017 market are eligible to apply for the Best New Product Awards. Applicants should be prepared to provide the official launch date for the product they choose to submit, its suggested retail price, a 75-word product description, among other related information. To apply, exhibitors may click here to access the online submission form. Submissions are open now through December 23, 2016 and participation is free to all exhibitors.
The following criteria will apply to all submissions. Entries that meet these requirements will be considered for on-site judging.
- Exhibitors are invited to submit one (1) product for consideration in the section that they are exhibiting.
- All submitted products must be new to the market as of September 1, 2016.
- A single entry represents no more than one single item or one set of items packaged together for retail sale (items cannot be sold separately). Product collections cannot be submitted as a single entry.
- Products must be completely new introductions. They cannot be re-introductions or color/material changes to existing products.
Judging Process
Winners will be determined onsite at the market as judged by a panel of industry experts and members of the media after visiting each qualifying exhibitor’s booth to see the products first-hand. Of the pre-submitted entries, one winner will be selected from each section within the HOME, LIFESTYLE and HANDMADE Collections as follows:
