BUYER PROMOTIONS ADD VALUE TO NY NOW ATTENDEE EXPERIENCE
Show Specials, VIP Dollars & Social Media Lounge Among Highlights
WHITE PLAINS, NY, July 31, 2015… Exciting new and expanded buyer promotions, myriad exhibitor show specials, and enhanced capabilities for the NY NOW Mobile App and NY NOW Planner, will enrich the market experience at the summer 2015 edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, to be held August 15-19, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

A brand-new #NYNOW SOCIAL MEDIA LOUNGE, sponsored by HGTV Magazine’s Blogger Block Party, will encourage attendees to follow the action live while connecting and sharing highlights with fellow industry professionals. As an extension of this, a new “NY NOW Inspirations” give-away, will award prizes to NY Market participants who post the people, places and product favorites that inspire them, using the hashtag #NY NOW, to their social media streams leading up to and during the summer market. The lounge will be open on the NY NOW exhibit floor on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of the Market.
The successful “NY NOW VIP Dollars” promotion will make its summer Market debut with NY NOW giving away nearly $30,000 – in $250 and $500 increments – to select VIP buyers. The second semi-annual promotion will expand this August to four days, running from Sunday through Wednesday, with randomly drawn winners able to redeem their NY NOW VIP Dollars with exhibitors for onsite, same-day order-writing.
Introduction of a new NY NOW Market Planner will allow registered attendees not only to start shopping more than 4,800 products, but also to access some 340 exclusive exhibitor specials, including free or discounted shipping, reduced minimum orders and more. Among show specials are PAPERIE’s decreased minimum opening order amounts; two free rolls with every purchase from May Arts Ribbon; free sample from Nawi Kids for any minimum blankie or plush order; and gifts for select attendees from Panela Estudio Morralito.
Other capabilities of the NY NOW Market Planner include: exhibitor directory/product search; customized list of exhibitors matching product interests; featured and new product announcements; seminars and event schedules; connections with exhibitors to set on-site appointments; and an ability to add exhibitors and products to the planner.
For the first time, NY NOW’s soon-to-be-launched mobile app will be able to be synced with the Market Planner offering a seamless ability to search and discover products daily, make appointments with exhibitors, create a schedule of exhibitors, events, seminars, and receive live updates. The app will include interactive floor plans, lists of featured products, details on feature display participants, and allow you to discover exciting specials and events happening around New York City.
The summer 2015 edition of NY NOW, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, will run Saturday, August 15, through Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
