WHITE PLAINS, NY, January 2, 2015… Home Textiles Market Week® in New York City is set to feature a vibrant mix of high-design and fashion-forward bed, bath and linen vendors at the winter 2015 market, January 31-February 4, 2015, at NY NOW®, the Market for Home +Lifestyle and 230 Fifth Avenue. Complementary educational seminars and design awards will deliver a comprehensive market experience to attendees.

NY NOW’s HOME collection includes a concentration of home fashions suppliers as part of its Home Furnishings + Textiles section. Additional home textiles vendors are presented throughout NY NOW, with contemporary design resources in Accent on Design® and artisanal suppliers in NY NOW’s HANDMADE Collection. In total, NY NOW will feature more than 200 home textiles companies at the winter market.

This winter NY NOW welcomes 21 leading home fashions vendors, which are first-time participants, or are returning to the New York market following a hiatus. Special trend seminars are scheduled to complement the fashion-forward exhibits. On Monday, February 2, New York City’s International Furnishings & Design Association (IFDA) will present “Explore the Future With ColorVoyant 2015: Silence,” from 9:00am – 10:30am. Doty Horn, Senior Vice President of Design at Congoleum Corp and Founding Director of ColorVoyant, a color marketing firm, will address practical applications for four themes: Noise, Braille, Blur and Quiet. Further exploring home industry trends, ART (The Creative Network), will host a seminar “The Well-Dressed Home: How Fashion Trends Influence Home Products” on Tuesday, February 3, from 8:30am – 9:30am. Jaye Anna Mize, Home Interiors Editor of Fashion Snoops, a global trend research and advisory council, will present an overview of what’s now and next in fashion and color trends impacting the home. Jenny Heinzen York, editor-in-chief of Home Accents Today, will moderate the presentation and share findings from the magazine’s recent “Fashion Forward” outlook report. In addition, the Home Textiles Market Week Best New Products Awards will recognize excellence in four categories – Bath, Bed, Dining and Home Accessories – along with one overall “Best of Market” distinction. Criteria include innovative design, product solution, aesthetic appeal, creativity and new material or technology. A panel of trade and consumer editors will determine winners in of each of these categories, and one “Best of Market” distinction. These five products will compete for “Best of HOME” honors, determined by online voting during the Market.
