WHITE PLAINS, NY, December 26, 2014… More than 400 companies representing 60 countries will be among the 2,800+ exhibitors participating in the winter 2015 edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home + Lifestyle, January 31-February 4 2015, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

International companies participate both individually and as part of country-sponsored contingents. The following 55 countries will be represented at the New York Market in winter 2015: Afghanistan, American Samoa, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Mali, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Niger, Pakistan, Palestine, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Rwanda, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Uganda, United Kingdom, Uruguay and Vietnam.

International exhibitors are well-represented through NY NOW’s collections – HOME, LIFESTYLE and HANDMADE®. The HOME collection will feature two pavilions in Home Furnishings + Textiles: Worldwide Import/Export (Brazil) with 11 companies and UBIFRANCE with 13 companies. In addition, Accent on Design® — presented as part of the HOME Collection on Level 3 of the Javits Center – will showcase two collectives: “Accent on Japan” with five companies and British Design Group with three companies.

NY NOW’s HANDMADE collection will highlights international resources through two international pavililons: Designeyes/British Contemporary Crafts with 19 companies from the UK, and IEC – Berlin Inter Expo Consult GMBH (a new organizer of the returning German group), with nine companies. Both groups will be located within Handmade Designer Maker.

As part of NY NOW’s LIFESTYLE collection, the United Kingdom’s British Jewellery and Giftware International pavilion will expand to feature 12 companies; Germany’s new IEC – Berlin Inter Expo Consult GMBH will showcase eight companies, and Hong Kong’s Trade Development Council will highlight six new companies – all in the Gift section.

The largest concentration of international resources will be presented as part of the co-located Artisan Resource®, a first-of-its-kind market offering U.S.-based volume importers, direct import retailers, wholesalers and designers the opportunity to meet with international artisanal producers from around the world. International government-sponsored pavilions at Artisan Resource include Panama’s Ministry of Trade and Industry and South Africa’s Cape Craft & Design Institute.

Artisan Resource is a semi-annual tradeshow which runs concurrently with NY NOW, offering a production-sourcing venue for overseas artisan enterprises to showcase their products and production capabilities – at export terms – from their country of origin. The semi-annual tradeshow is managed and organized by Emerald Expositions with the assistance of ByHand Consulting. The winter 2015 edition of NY NOW®, the Market for Home +Lifestyle, will run Saturday, January 31, through Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. NY NOW has staggered show opening dates and locations, with HANDMADE running Saturday to Tuesday, and HOME and LIFESTYLE running Sunday to Wednesday. Market hours are 9am – 6pm, daily, except Tuesday, February 3, when HANDMADE closes at 5pm; and Wednesday, February 4, when HOME and LIFESTYLE close at 2pm.
